Boycotting Rihanna's concert? Wtf does that got to do with Israel?

I understand why some people boycott Israeli and American products due to the Gaza conflicts but this is going over the line.

PAS Youth: Boycott Rihanna concert

PAS Youth today called for the boycott of Barbadian singer Rihanna’s upcoming concert to protest the suffering of the Palestinian people. Rihanna’s concert is to be held on Feb 13, 2009. Federal Territory PAS Youth chief, Kamaruzaman Mohamed, said that the concert “does not match with the local culture” and having Rihanna in Malaysia is a “disgrace to Asian culture”. In a statement today, Kamaruzaman said that Israel’s ally, the United States, is funded by its public and this includes Rihanna who is currently living in California. It can be considered as supporting Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza, he added. “It doesn’t matter if Rihanna is involved in the issue, but to us (PAS), she is an agent of polluting young peoples’ minds around the world through her songs.”

So what's the big deal if she lives in California? Come on, the boycott is getting ridiculous. Now the Gaza conflict is over I wonder would people still boycott Israeli/American products. Sorry if I offended anyone but it's just weird man.
