Whenever there is a case of murder, outrage, massacres and if they see that person listens to metal, they would always try to blame metal. I think so they failed to see that more people commited suicide to this composition:
But I don't see people blaming classical music to be a satanic, murderous, lunatic's person genre. In fact, it is more associated with universities and colleges. Yeah, like Mozart and Wagner did go to college.
The worst abomination the media gave the people to feed on is the movie Maut. They are giving the worst image that black metal or any other kind of metal can ever have.
This? Black Metal? Looks more like goth fans to me. What kind of shirt is that and that trendy hairstyle, black lipstick. Did the director do his research? Come on if KFC can pull off a good parody of black metal why can't a big budgetted director can't.
Concerning the stupid abomination "Maut", the movie is about a group of supposedly metalheads, became so engrossed with their "metal" lifestyle and seemed to have forgotten their roots in religion. They started to take drugs and etc, you know what they expect metalheads would do all the time and got involved in accident. When conducting the funeral, his family when through all kinds of intranquility as if his soul was not content and could not be put to rest.
Yes, it's a lame storyline but the thing I'm most pissed off about is the image of metalheads. In this case, black metal. They are deemed to be low life scums and useless junk. These people should grow up. If you want to mock black metal, mock it in the right way. Corpse paint etc. Not even that, they seem not to have the knowledge on how to differentiate Black Metal from other types of genres. I've read in forums of people's CDs that couldn't pass te customs due to it's "Black Metal" content. The governement is fighting black metal as if it was a terrorist organization. Not all black metal fans are murderous, church burning people. In fact most of those supposedly murders did not came from black metal or even metal fans. I don't know how Marilyn manson got the black metal tag. It's not even metal for goodness sake!
The Malaysian community should open their eyes and give leeway on what people are listening to. Sick people are always sick people, no matter what music they listen. A person can listen to Pussycat Dolls and be a murderer. Listening to metal is just like watching a horror movie. A lot of people like to watch horror movies and understand it's entertainment but they can't accept metal music as mere entertainment. People may call their music Brutal Death metal or watsoever but they don't go slaughtering people. Like how the creators of the movie Chucky don't go shoot people without a cause. People should open their eyes and see metal in another pespective. Every genre of music has it's negativity. Metal also has negativity but people forgot that not all metal is like that. Open your eyes ladies and gentlemen.

I have been a die hard Black Metal fan for 15+ years. But I am sad to say that a majority of the black & death metal fans I always came across had toxic signs of severe mental issues (such as narcissism & psychopathy). My respect for Black Metal will never die. But I am sad to say that I have been forced to distanced myself from the fans of the genre. So there are valid reasons like these why other people react negatively towards us who are at peace listening to evil music. Cause they think we are just another soulless psychopath.
